Testimony
It wasn't overnight that I became this actively-praying, message-receiving, AM-gyming lady warrior. Overnights, sure, emphasis on the plural-ness, but it took reflection, honesty with myself, repetition, determination, willpower, a lot of lows, and a starting point.
Empower Lifestyle Fitness is all about giving you your power back.
My journey towards a more fulfilled, purposeful life started over a decade ago. I searched for a spiritual wellness that I felt a craving for in my bones. I'd grown tired of looking for stability in other things and people, so I decided to become that for myself. I listened and learned, I studied and strengthened my ability to tap in to my inner Self and its needs, mentally and physically. I'd gone from rock bottom to an in between, but I never felt truly healed, until I kept going and now I'm in a place of promise, synchronicity, alignment with my purpose, and the passion to thrive with a motivation I have never had.
It takes where you are now to get to where you're meant to go.
The "in between" might have been the most dangerous for me because I could have easily stuck to the contentment of the routined lifestyle I'd created for myself, but the consciousness of the lack of challenge was an awakening in itself. You see, without challenge there is no growth, and it's hard to see that you're in that place of no growth when you're still finding yourself able to enjoy things, eating well, going on daily walks, but all of that, though great practices, can also play a distracting factor to that feeling of wanting more for yourself, which is why I've defined that state as a functional depression. I was in a constant state of low, not f l o w, but I would use every ounce of the energy I had to enjoy what I could because I was aware of the value in where I was, even then.
Being able to compartmentalize my energy and know where I could/couldn't pour it has take time for me to strengthen, a lot of consistent work, which is one takeaway through working with me. I want to help you bring an awareness to the things and feelings you might have shoved aside in order to prioritize others before yourself because that feeling is your flame, it's your intention, your inner voice, don't let it burn out, lean into it!
WHERE to start when it feels like there is no way?
When I started, I was depleted, exhausted to a core. I would reserve the energy I needed to show up for my family, and I left none for me to show up for myself. It took a day that I didn't recognize myself, my likes/dislikes/motives. Everything that was "me" were outside things and others that surrounded me, I was defined by my exterior. I thought I was doing myself a justice by allowing whom and what I love most to take up my entire being, my whole life, but as I continued to grow more and more apart from my Self I learned that wasn't the case. I had to learn a different perspective, the balance and art of being able to put myself first and understanding that it doesn't mean I love my family or being a mom or a wife any less, quite the opposite. I love that I am all of that so much that I want to be the best version of myself FIRST, to be the best I can be in every other area, too! So once I started, I didn't stop, and now this lifestyle is engraved in my soul because the results are priceless and my entire wellbeing is something I am committed to for a lifetime.
Because of what I practice, I now have the confidence of knowing what I need and when I need it, and the skills to know what to do for my mind and for my body, it's a mind + body fitness. Nothing starts until you do, and starting is the hardest part of this phase, which is why I've committed and devoted myself and the learnings of my journey towards you and your spiritual development, because it grants a life of freedom that is so powerful, trust me, I know it, I live it.
The work is never done, but it is always beautiful.
This really is 'just a phase', you know? And you will breakthrough what no longer suits you. You can, you will...we will, together.
The longest lasting change is one that's made in alignment with your soul, so if your goal is to achieve a lifestyle of all the things that help you feel whole (again) then let's start with your mind, and your body will follow. This is the shift that will lead to the change(s) you want to make in your life to help you unlock the lifestyle that is actively aligned with what you are built for. Spiritual Fitness is about empowerment, it's strengthening the tools that are already available to you within, and mindfully activating them to contribute towards your evolution.
Just as it takes small changes to breed bigger ones, it takes small movements to encourage more powerful ones. Start where you are.
My practices aren't just body movements, they're deeper than that because that's what it takes. It's prayer and digging down to your core, facing yourself. The realness, the rawness, of your Self. This is where you'll find the inspiration you've needed to meditate daily and/or journal all those thoughts you hold captive in your mind.
Let's get you feeling spiritually lighter, alive, and aligned. Let's get you back into your flow!
